Policy Positions

Economic Policy

  • For affordable housing; supports investing in public housing, incentivizing affordable housing development, and first-home buyer assistance
  • Against Trump's tariffs; supports ending reckless tariffs and making the wealthy pay their fair share to lower the cost of living

Health Care

  • For Medicare for All; supports universal healthcare as a human right and is a cosponsor of HR 3069, the Medicare for All Act, while also supporting expansion and protection of the Affordable Care Act
  • For mental health funding and awareness; supported legislation to promote the 988 suicide hotline, allow Medicaid to fund mental health facility patients, and allow service members to retain mental health providers when transitioning to VA care

  • For Israel as a U.S. ally; previously co-sponsored a resolution to halt aid to Israel and described it as an apartheid state in the Michigan House, but later reversed position after visiting Israel with an AIPAC affiliate in 2023, describing the U.S.-Israel relationship as mutually beneficial and receiving heavy AIPAC funding
