Policy Positions
Economic Policy
- For fiscal conservatism; supports a balanced budget amendment and reducing spending including reforms to food stamp and disability programs
- For tax cuts; voted for 2017 Trump tax reform legislation and co-sponsors the FairTax proposal to replace the progressive income tax with a national sales tax
- Against financial system bailout; voted against the 2008 proposed bailout of the U.S. financial system

- For proposing an annual federal tax on electric and hybrid vehicles
