Economic Policy
- For the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017; voted for it and supported making key provisions permanent, expanding the Child Tax Credit, increasing the standard deduction, and eliminating taxes on overtime and tips
- For a balanced budget constitutional amendment and across-the-board federal spending reductions
- Against eliminating the estate tax (death tax) as it applies to family farms
Health Care
- For repealing the Affordable Care Act; believed the American Health Care Act of 2017 did not go far enough and sought complete repeal of the ACA
Environment
- For rolling back EPA and federal agency regulations, including dismantling WOTUS rules and lesser prairie-chicken protections
Civil Rights
- Against abortion rights; proudly pro-life, introduced legislation to protect unborn babies with prenatal Down syndrome diagnoses, supports defunding Planned Parenthood, and opposes taxpayer funding for abortions
Voting Rights & Democracy
- For contesting the 2020 presidential election results; signed an amicus brief supporting Texas v. Pennsylvania at the U.S. Supreme Court
- For a five-year lobbying ban on former members of Congress

- For stricter border security; supports reducing illegal crossings, deportations, and securing the southern border
- For U.S. military support for Israel following the 2023 Hamas attack
