Health Care

- For a law making it illegal for local communities to ban the spreading of biosolids (treated sewage sludge) as fertilizer on farmlands draining into the St. John's River and Indian River Lagoon
Civil Rights
- Against abortion rights; lists 'Defend life' as a campaign priority
- Against same-sex marriage and LGBT rights protections; made repeated unsubstantiated 'grooming' allegations against gay and lesbian people, supported the 'Don't Say Gay' law, supported banning transgender girls and women from girls' sports teams, and proposed banning drag performances where children might be present
- For dissolving Florida's independent special districts established before 1968, including the Reedy Creek Improvement District governing Walt Disney World, seen as retaliation against Disney's opposition to the 'Don't Say Gay' law
- For banning flags with a 'political viewpoint' (including Palestinian, LGBTQ pride, and Black Lives Matter flags) from Florida government buildings
- For designating the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as a terrorist organization
