Policy Positions

For the HOME Act (Home Ownership Made Easier Act), which would let qualified borrowers fix their total mortgage cost at closing under existing 30-year underwriting standards while choosing a 40, 50, or 60-year repayment schedule to lower monthly payments, alongside expanded FHA lending for first-time buyers, a refundable homebuyer tax credit for first-time and moderate-income buyers, a cap on starter interest rates for first-time buyers, and provisions allowing heirs to assume a mortgage without a forced refinance.
For eliminating income taxes for working families, while directing more IRS enforcement resources toward wealthy taxpayers rather than working-class taxpayers.
For expanded federal funding for rapid transit systems.

For the BUILD Business Act to modernize the Small Business Administration, including creating the American Small Business Grant Program (grants of $5,000–$25,000 for startup costs), establishing the SBA Growth Line (0–2% interest loans with deferred repayment), strengthening the SBA 7(a) and 504 lending programs, incentivizing employee ownership and profit-sharing, creating Small Business Opportunity Zones, establishing an SBA First Loss Fund to reduce lender risk, consolidating grants/loans/mentoring into one digital portal, expanding mentorship partnerships, increasing transparency through annual performance reporting, expanding small business access to federal contracting, and cutting regulatory paperwork.
For increased investment in job training, particularly in technical fields less likely to be displaced by AI, and for strengthened support for entrepreneurs and small business owners.

For the CARE Act, a federal framework for lifelong care and community living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including assigning each eligible person a federally certified CARE Advocate, guaranteeing timely access to home and community-based services, expanding accessible community housing modeled on programs like Casa Familia, funding Community Belonging Grants for social inclusion, requiring Lifelong Support Plans beginning in adolescence, expanding respite care and caregiver support, investing in the direct support professional workforce, and expanding access to assistive technology.
For establishing healthcare as a guaranteed right for every American.

For universal childcare and pre-K, funded in part by redirecting spending away from immigration enforcement.
For the BUILD Act, a workforce and education initiative including federal incentive grants for school districts building career pathways in fields like AI, cybersecurity, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, and the skilled trades; guaranteeing every student graduates college-ready, trade-ready, or workforce-ready; establishing a BUILD Service Compact providing educational assistance in exchange for service in priority industries; expanding and modernizing Public Service Loan Forgiveness for teachers, nurses, first responders, and other public servants; creating competitive BUILD Excellence Grants; establishing a Teacher Excellence Incentive for districts investing in teacher pay and retention; creating a BUILD Fellows Program allowing outside professionals to co-teach courses; recognizing high-performing "BUILD Distinguished Districts"; and increasing funding for HBCUs and colleges serving underserved communities.

Against ICE raids and current deportation policies; For ending funding for these deportation efforts and redirecting that funding into community investment.
