Policy Positions

For protecting Social Security and Medicare; Against Republican-led efforts to cut Medicare and Medicaid; Against efforts to privatize Social Security.
For the Inflation Reduction Act's Medicare changes, including capping insulin at $35/month, making recommended vaccines free, and capping out-of-pocket prescription costs at $2,000.

For Medicare for All
For lowering prescription drug prices, making homeownership and rent more affordable, extending Affordable Care Act tax credits, and lowering taxes for families with children.
For expanding Medicare coverage of maternal and reproductive health care, including birth control and HPV vaccinations, and for expanding funding and access to pre- and post-natal maternity care.
For expanding veterans' healthcare and benefits, including supporting the PACT Act (expanding VA care for veterans exposed to burn pits and Agent Orange) and funding Veteran student centers on college campuses to support GI Bill benefits and tutoring.

For the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, including funding for roads and bridges, a national electric vehicle charging network, green energy investment (solar and wind), and clean water access.
For the Inflation Reduction Act's clean energy and climate provisions, including incentives for electric vehicles and energy-efficient appliances and a nationwide EV charging network.
For increased Everglades restoration funding through her position on the Appropriations Committee.

For protecting abortion rights and access to birth control and reproductive health care, including serving as a lead sponsor of the Women's Health Protection Act; For increased federal investment in women's health, including contraception and maternal care.

For repealing the Mexico City policy that restricts U.S. funding for foreign NGOs providing or promoting abortion-related information, via sponsorship of the Global HER Act
For continued U.S. security assistance to Israel, including condemning Hamas's October 7th attack and its use of sexual violence, calling for the release of hostages, supporting assistance to Israel and to civilians in Gaza, and supporting a two-state solution.

For gun control measures, including a high-capacity magazine ban, universal background checks, a ban on bump stocks, and repeal of the Dickey Amendment; against concealed carry reciprocity (voted against H.R. 38) and against allowing 'mentally incompetent' veterans to purchase firearms without judicial review
