Policy Positions
Economic Policy
- For making the 2017 tax cuts permanent, eliminating taxes on tips and overtime, expanding the child tax credit, and boosting domestic energy production via the Working Families Tax Cuts
- For expanding rural broadband access; voted for rural broadband funding legislation, introduced the BOOST Act to provide a $300 tax credit for mobile hotspot equipment or signal boosters in eligible areas, and supported the Farm Bill authorizing USDA rural development funding for rural internet infrastructure
Business & Labor
- For the Farm Bill reauthorization to provide resources and stability for farmers
- For military pay raises; has consistently supported giving servicemembers pay increases
Health Care
- Against Medicare for All / single-payer healthcare; opposes government takeover of the healthcare system and supports keeping healthcare decisions between patients and doctors

- Against schools changing a minor student's gender markers, preferred names, pronouns, or sex-based accommodations without parental consent, and against schools teaching gender ideology; supported the Stopping Indoctrination and Protecting Kids Act which would strip federal funding from non-compliant schools
- Against abortion rights; holds a 100% voting record with Michigan Right to Life, believes life begins at conception, supports protections for babies born alive, parental involvement in decisions affecting minors, pregnancy resource centers, and adoption/foster care programs
- For expanding veterans' benefits and services; introduced the Veterans Fellowship Act for workforce transition, supported the Veterans Patient Advocacy Act for rural VA access, and co-sponsored the Take Care of America's Veterans Act to improve veterans' health care and benefits
Voting Rights & Democracy
- For voter ID requirements, proof of citizenship to vote, accurate voter rolls, and election fraud protections; supported the SAVE Act and SAVE America Act; opposes federal overreach into state election administration
