Economic Policy

  • Against privatizing Social Security; strongly opposes benefit cuts and supports protecting Social Security and Medicare from deficit reduction

  • For raising the minimum wage to $10.10+ per hour and supporting union organizing rights

  • For expanding ObamaCare and establishing a public healthcare option; supports single-payer healthcare

Education

  • Against school voucher programs; opposes private and religious school vouchers and supports public education funding

Environment

  • For environmental protection and against offshore oil drilling; supports renewable energy and opposes drilling in ANWR

Civil Rights

  • For abortion rights without restrictions; supports access to contraception, emergency contraception, and opposes limitations on abortion services
  • For same-sex marriage rights and comprehensive LGBT rights including prohibiting employment discrimination and allowing benefits for domestic partners
