Economic Policy

- Against abortion rights; signed the Texas Heartbeat Act, Texas Human Life Protection Act, and Life of the Mother Act providing the strongest pro-life protections in the country, prohibited state entities from supporting abortions, and banned abortion-inducing drugs
- Against same-sex marriage; defended Texas's ban on same-sex marriage, condemned the Obergefell v. Hodges ruling, and filed lawsuits to stop same-sex spouses from receiving benefits
- Against gender-affirming medical treatments for minors; banned harmful gender modification procedures for minors and instructed state agencies to treat such treatments as child abuse
- Against transgender rights in sports and bathrooms; banned men from competing in women's sports, mandated bathroom use based on biological sex, and signed legislation recognizing only two sexes
- For displaying Ten Commandments in public schools; signed legislation requiring all public schools to display the Ten Commandments in classrooms
