Policy Positions

Economic Policy

  • Against government wasteful spending; opposes omnibus bills and continuing resolutions, advocates for single-subject appropriations, supported defunding USAID, and introduced legislation to defund the National Endowment for Democracy
  • Against sending taxpayer dollars overseas
  • For low taxes and limited regulations; helped prevent what he characterized as the largest tax hike in U.S. history, eliminated taxes on tips, overtime, and Social Security; opposes government subsidies picking winners and losers

Environment

  • For domestic energy production and American energy dominance; supports expanding oil and gas leasing, opposes Green New Deal subsidies, opposes federal EV mandates, opposes wind and solar subsidies, backed H.R. 1 in the 118th Congress

Civil Rights
