Policy Positions

Economic Policy

  • Against federal COVID-19 economic relief aid in 2020 (voted against a bill that passed 363-41), but later voted for the December 2020 COVID-19 relief bill backed by President Trump
  • For protecting Social Security and Medicare for seniors

Civil Rights

  • Against abortion rights; opposes abortion and supports overturning Roe v. Wade, while also stating support for IVF access
  • For same-sex marriage; voted for the Respect for Marriage Act in 2022, which codified the right to same-sex marriage in federal law

Voting Rights & Democracy

  • For certifying the 2020 presidential election results; voted against Republican-sponsored objections to Arizona's and Pennsylvania's electoral votes

Immigration & Foreign Affairs

  • For securing the southern border, including finishing the Mexico-United States border wall and stopping fentanyl trafficking and human trafficking
  • For military aid to Israel amid the Gaza War, citing Israel's right to self-defense
