For the final version of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, after initially voting against an earlier version due to spending concerns

For reducing sugar industry protections; supported the Sugar Policy Modernization Act to make sugar import quotas more flexible despite accepting donations from sugar industry executives

For repealing the Affordable Care Act; voted to repeal it and pass the American Health Care Act

Against abortion rights except in cases where the woman's life is at risk or in cases of rape or incest
Against the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling on same-sex marriage in Obergefell v. Hodges, believing it was a mistake for the Court to decide the issue; however, voted for the Respect for Marriage Act in July 2022 before voting against its final passage in December 2022

Against certifying the 2020 election of Joe Biden, voting against certification following the January 6 Capitol attack

For cutting U.S. funding to the United Nations
Against Obama's Iran nuclear deal, viewing it as a betrayal of U.S. national security and that of Israel and regional allies
For strong support of Israel; volunteered with the IDF, wore IDF uniform in Congress, argued for reducing humanitarian aid to Gaza, and made statements minimizing the innocence of Palestinian civilians
